September Recruitment Insights Report out now

The September Recruitment Insights Report with the latest Recruitment Experiences and Outlook Survey (REOS) data is now available.

Results show there was an increase in the recruitment rate, to 49%, while recruitment difficulty lessened slightly (down by 2 percentage points) to 59%. Both indicators have fluctuated over the last 6 months but have been generally trending down for most of the year. The proportion of employers expecting to increase staffing levels rose to 25% (1 percentage point higher than last month). Overall, results indicate that recruitment activity is softer than 12 months ago but remains relatively resilient.

The recruitment rate was the same for Capital Cities and Rest of State areas (which generally covers regional Australia) with both coming in at 49%. Capital Cities had the largest increase, up by 5 percentage points over the month, while Rest of State areas had a 1 percentage point increase.
