Jobs and Skills Australia 2024 Roadshow: A journey to remember

The Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) 2024 Roadshow has officially wrapped up and what an incredible journey it’s been!

In November, we hit the road, starting at our Parliament House in Canberra and finishing up last week in the beautiful south, Hobart.

The roadshow provided a fantastic opportunity for JSA to engage directly with our diverse stakeholders, to launch the Better Together: Jobs and Skills Report 2024 and present its structure, with the five strategic pillars:

1. Fostering Inclusive Participation.

2. Understanding Today’s Workforce.

3. Shaping Australia’s Future Workforce.

4. Optimising Pathways and System Architecture.

5. Activating Informed Dialogue.

With well over 1,000 attendees, our focus was on painting the big picture to help Australians plan careers with strong outcomes. The welcome and participation from around the country was greatly appreciated.

Throughout 2024, JSA has produced numerous reports and data-driven insights aimed at tackling real-world challenges. Our research emphasises equity, access, and inclusion across education, training, and employment. The roadshow was an ‘on ground’, fresh and exciting way to share our work while hearing directly from you, about your journeys, experiences and needs. Your input will guide us as we continue delivering impactful, relevant information.

We’d like to thank representatives from JSA, state/territory governments and local experts for in-depth panel discussions and presentations. The varied themes including ‘A knowledge based economy’ and ‘Inclusive participation’ across the country’s events, were thought-provoking and deeply relevant to Australia’s future workforce.

A national roadshow is just one way we engage with you. We encourage you all to participate in the online town halls we host as key reports are released. You can also provide feedback on our events or other aspects of our work by emailing ConnectWithUs@jobsandskills.gov.au
