How to use Australian Jobs 2026
Australian Jobs is designed to step you through all aspects of the labour market and help you understand what employers are looking for.
Australian Jobs 2026 includes:
- advice on finding and applying for work, and how to win a job once you have applied
- information on education and training options
- an overview of Australia’s diverse labour markets
- a new section highlighting the Jobs and Skills Councils, with overviews of the skills employers’ need and the interesting work offered by a range of careers
- comprehensive analysis outlining employment opportunities across industries, occupations and locations.
It is important to remember that the labour market is constantly changing, and it isn’t recommended to base employment and training decisions on existing or predicted shortages. It is often better to train in an area in which you have an interest and aptitude than to choose a career solely based on expectations about future conditions.
