Entry level jobs across city, coastal, inland and remote regions
This month, the Recruitment Experiences and Outlook Survey (REOS) spotlights the data behind entry-level job opportunities.
Key findings:
- Employer openness to candidates without experience varies by region, occupation, and skill level.
- Capital cities have the most jobs but are least likely to offer entry-level roles while remote, country and inland areas are more flexible.
- Roles needing higher training, like Professional and Trades jobs, are harder for inexperienced applicants to obtain.
- Entry-level roles are most common in Sales, Labourer, and Community & Personal Service positions.
- 1 in 3 employers hire experienced candidates for entry-level jobs, showing the value of skills and work experience even in starter roles.
