What the occupation involves

  • Provides written and verbal recommendations to courts and state parole authorities about offenders
  • Develops and implements individualised case plans for offenders to assist them with their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community
  • Monitors, supervises and visits offenders at their home and workplace to ensure compliance with the requirements of their court order or conditional release
  • Conducts regular meetings with offenders to discuss their progress and address any issues or concerns
  • Coordinates with law enforcement when offenders violate the terms of a court order or conditional release

      Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA) is the skill-based classification used to categorise occupations across the Australian labour market. OSCA is used to define occupations across all official occupational statistics. OSCA replaces the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).

      Each job is classified to one, and only one, group of jobs at each level of the classification with no overlaps.
