Australia’s jobs and skills system is facing unprecedented change. As industries transform and workforce needs evolve, strong collaboration across education, training, employment and industry has never been more important.
Jobs & Skills Month has been established to bring people together in support of our shared goals and create opportunities for action, collaboration and impact across the jobs and skills system.
Led by Jobs and Skills Australia, the new not-for-profit initiative will run from 20 October to 20 November 2026, creating a national platform for organisations to share knowledge, showcase innovation and strengthen the partnerships that help Australians succeed.
Jobs & Skills Month is where conversations become action
The inaugural theme, Pathways to Success, celebrates the many routes Australians take through education, training, work and lifelong learning. It recognises that every pathway is different and highlights the people, programs and partnerships that help create opportunity at every stage of the journey.

Throughout the month, organisations from across the jobs and skills system are invited to host events, share insights, showcase their work and collaborate across sectors. From panel discussions and workshops to networking events, community initiatives and industry forums, every contribution will help illuminate the pathways that power Australia’s future.
Jobs & Skills Month is designed to shine a spotlight on the work already taking place Australia while creating new opportunities to connect, learn from one another and drive meaningful outcomes.
