AI is starting to change the way we work but Australia’s adoption of AI is in its infancy. The Generative AI Capacity Study has found a number of important factors when it comes to a successful transition to and adoption of AI in our workforce.
On 17 September, JSA hosted a webinar that took the audience through some of these key findings from the recently released report Our Gen AI Transition - Implications for Work and Skills, including:
- Gen AI is more likely to augment jobs than replace them
- AI adoption is early and varies across industries, with many workers using tools independently in their work
- the impact of AI will vary across occupations, industries, regions and groups of people
- ensuring that we have the right skills will be essential.
Adaptability will be critical for Australia to realise the potential benefits from AI, which will see new jobs emerge and existing jobs change.
