Last year, to November, JSA’s Occupation and Industry Profiles showed Aged and Disabled Carers emerged as the fastest-growing occupation, with an increase of 27,300.
Accountants were also in high demand, with employment increasing by 13,100, marking a 6.2% increase. This growth reflects the ongoing need for financial expertise across all sectors.
On the industry front, Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services stood out as the fastest-growing sector, expanding by 9.5% and with an extra 18,900 employed.
Meanwhile, Health Care and Social Assistance continued its reign as the largest-growing industry, with a 103,800 increase in employment, up 4.5%over the year. This sector’s consistent growth underscores its critical role in supporting our wellbeing.
